New Publication Out

Today, I would want to take a moment to both celebrate as well as thank the people who made my new article possible!
First of all, I am in deep gratitude for all the learning concerning Sami Theology that I have been able to do, with the gracious guidance of Lovisa Mienna Sjöberg. I am also happy for the encouragement she gave me to turn a student assignment at the Sami Alleskuvla into a full-fledged article. Here is the result and hopefully a helpful comment, in Swedish language, to the dialogues we are having about different dimensions of what can be seen as decolonial work.
If I were to write this article again, I would also want to incorporate some of the important work in architecture itself that Eveliina Sarapää and others are doing in order to think anew about what Sami ways of building could mean. You can read about her work here.
Finally, I want to thank the team at Finsk Tidsskrift – mainly Ann-Charlotte Palmgren and Lina Metsämäki for their support in this process and the gorgeous photos that Eduardo Abrantes provided to crystallise some of my points!
The learning exchange was made possible by the funding I received from both Svenska kulturfonden/The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland and the Minority Research profile at Åbo Akademi University.
