Funding News for Knowledge at Sea
13.04.2026
Last week, Eduardo Abrantes and I met in Turku to attend the Polin days at Åbo Akademi University.
Most of our time was, however, used to go through the last preparations of our CHARM-EU course: Knowledge at Sea where we will bring students from Eötvös Loránd University, Trinity College Dublin and Åbo Akademi on a Transdisciplinary Journey to Iceland! We look forward to the research visits at University of Iceland (Háskóli Íslands), Kerecis, Arts Iceland Residence in Isafjordur and many more things!

And we are particularly grateful for receiving an extra funding from Svenska kulturfonden/The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland for this journey!
With the help of Nordisk Kulturfond, Stiftelsen Åbo Akademi and Svenska Kulturfonden, we can join students and researchers with artists and cultural workers from the Skärgårdshavets Biosfärområde to the course and create a truly transdisciplinary experience!
