Sounds of Mörskär

This summer has been very windy out here on Kökar, with few days for calm seas and possibilities to move out into the outer islands with a small boat.

Due to this, we were quite unsure which kind of work would be possible once Eduardo arrived for his field research on Åland.

Either luck or good faith brought with it the only two days so far that enabled travelling to Mörskär. We got some good experimenting and recordings done, and the latest new research assistant, Moses, was very pleased!

Most of all, we look forward to sharing how this artistic work can contribute to questions of biodiversity and sustainability research in the Archipelago Sea region, during both the SOS annual meeting and our upcoming event in Korpoström in November.
